By developing and manufacturing advanced vehicle components, we not only contribute to a safer driving experience, but also to reducing the automotive industry’s climate impact. Our products are designed to be lighter, stronger and more resource-efficient, which leads to lower fuel consumption, reduced emissions and better energy efficiency throughout the car’s entire life cycle. Sustainability is not just part of our business concept; it is at the core of everything we do.

We prioritize six of the UN’s global sustainability goals

In September 2015, world leaders adopted a new development agenda and global goals for sustainable development. The 2030 Agenda consists of 17 global goals for sustainable development that aim to eradicate poverty, halt climate change and create peaceful and secure societies.

The 2030 Agenda is the most ambitious plan for sustainable development ever adopted by the world. World leaders have pledged to achieve the global goals by 2030. All countries have thus taken on the responsibility to create a fairer, more sustainable and better world.

We support and work actively to contribute to the implementation of Agenda 2030 – the UN’s 17 global goals for sustainable development. To be more concrete in our work, we have prioritized six goals that we believe are most relevant to us.

Our prioritized environmental goals for 2030

In 2020, the Gestamp Group had its climate targets approved by the Science Based Targets Initiative. Gestamp HardTech’s climate work is aligned with the group’s climate ambitions and has adopted its own reduction targets that support these goals.
